WATCH: Veteran presented with touching gift ahead of Honor Flight

One veteran on the South Willamette Valley Honor Flight was honored with a special surprise at a gathering the night before departure.

He was presented with a quilt made for him by the Piece-Makers Quilting Group from the Alvadore Christian Church.

"How cool is that?" he said as he examined his gift. The gift brought up memories of how his mother was a quilter who had a quilting square in the living room, "as long as I can remember."
