EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon Air and Space Museum held an open house in honor of all vets this Veterans Day.
The museum held a three day open house leading up to the holiday. Visitors could tour the grounds which include various aviation memorabilia, but the big stars were the hangar planes .
Guests took in the history of the air crafts and how veterans used them in war.
Museum president Bruce Lamont says the glider in the entrance way was used to train World War II pilots.
“We've had a number of people walk through and look at that and they remember,” said Bruce Lamont, President of the Oregon Air and Space Museum. “And when you see the look in their eye when they see something like that they remember from those days, it's priceless.”
Around 200 people came out to learn and celebrate vets in Oregon and around the country.
