PORTLAND, Ore. -- The public is invited to celebrate the formal opening of a new U.S. Army recruiting center at a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony Feb. 21, from 1 -3 p.m. at 780 NW Garden Valley Blvd Suite #58 in Roseburg.

"This is a great opportunity to meet the local Army representatives who will have information on active Army and Army Reserve opportunities, including the Army Partnership for Youth Success Program and March 2 Success," organizers said in a news release.

The Army recruiting center will be part of an Armed Forces Career Center and will serve all eligible military recruits from the Roseburg area.

The Army has been looking for qualified recruits to serve in the all-volunteer Army since 1973. The Army’s 2018 recruiting mission is 80,000 active-duty soldiers and 15,600 reserve soldiers.
