South Willamette Valley Honor Flight arrives in D.C.

The South Willamette Valley Honor Flight landed in Washington, D.C., on Friday for a weekend tour of the memorials erected in honor of veterans of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Also on Friday, Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Springfield, read the names of the veterans on the trip into the Congressional Record.

""It is with great pride that I recognize 45 Oregon veterans who are visiting our nation’s capital this Saturday, October 7, as part ofthe South Willamette Valley Honor Flight," DeFazio said. "These brave individuals risked their lives to protect and defend the United States and are now here to visit those monuments and memorials they helped inspire."
