Applebee's serving free meals to veterans next Sunday

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - Sunday Nov. 11, veterans can eat for free at Applebee's across the country.

The restaurant says the free meals are part of its mission to serve one million meals to neighborhood military heroes on Veterans Day.

"For the 11th year, all veterans and active duty military are invited to visit their local Applebee's® on Veterans Day to enjoy a free full-size entrée from a selection of eight fan favorites," said Applebee's on its website.

Food options include:

  • Classic Bacon Cheeseburger
  • 6 oz. USDA Select Top Sirloin
  • Chicken Tenders Platter
  • Double Crunch Shrimp
  • Fiesta Lime Chicken
  • Oriental Grilled Chicken Salad
  • Oriental Chicken Salad
  • Three-Cheese Chicken Penne

The restaurant is also encouraging everyone to share their support of America's heroes with #MillionMeals4Heroes on social media.

Applebee's Central Ohio locations include Hilliard, Grove City, Polaris, Northeast Columbus, and near Reynoldsburg.
