Will NFL prospects Freeman and Crosby join Ducks on field for Las Vegas Bowl?
LAS VEGAS - They say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Freeman and Crosby have continued to practice with the team.
But top NFL propsects sometimes sit out bowl games to avoid risking injury.
Head coach Mario Cristobal was asked about Freeman and Crosby before practice.
He said coaches would have more extensive discussions with the players - and that his advice is always honesty.
And when KVAL asked Jake Breeland, he didn't even know it was a question.
"He's playing," the sophomore tight end said. "I mean I assume he's playing. He said he is. I wasn't really thinking about that."
"It's obviously going to be a huge difference if he doesn't play in the game because he's one of the best tackles in the nation," sophomore center Jake Hanson said of Crosby. "It will be a different obviously so we all want him to play but it's a decision he has to make for himself."
Something that could play a factor for Tyrell: He's from Las Vegas, so the Las Vegas Bowl might mean a little more to him.
Their teammates are recruiting them hard to play, but they also understand it's a decision that is unique to a select few and not easy. While this team is on a business trip, Crosby and Freeman will have to make a business decision.
