Blue Cheese Oregon Mushroom Burger:

7 ounce burger patty, fresh

4 ounces oyster mushrooms, stemmed and sliced

1 tbsp. olive oil

salt, to taste

pepper, to taste

2 ounces blue cheese crumbles

1 brioche bun

1 tsp. butter

2 slices, tomato

2 leaves, green leaf lettuce

To Plate:

3 ounces french fries, crispy


Blue cheese Oregon Mushroom Burger:

1) Season the burger patty with salt and pepper. Grill to med-rare.

2) Butter both sides of the bun. Grill butter side down until golden brown.

3) Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and sauté in the hot oil until mushrooms are lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add blue cheese crumbles, let melt with the mushrooms.

To Plate:

Place the grilled burger patty on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Stack the burger with green leaf lettuce, tomato slices and the mushroom mixture. Top it off with the toasted top bun. Add french fries to the plate and serve.
