ROSEBURG, Ore. — The Umpqua National Forest is spotlighting the Salamander Crew, one of its many volunteer groups.
"These volunteers put in concerted efforts this last week and through the weekend to clear large trees that had fallen across the Mott segment of the North Umpqua Trail," the Forest Service said on social media. "In the last few years, the Umpqua National Forest has experienced devastating wildfires that caused loose soils and damaged timber to wash out portions of this beloved trail."
