Coast Guard rescues group stranded by tide at Ecola State Park

CANNON BEACH, Ore. – Coast Guard helicopter crews rescued three men Wednesday who were trapped by the rising tide at Ecola State Park.

The U.S. Coast Guard received a call that a group was stranded on Indian Beach shortly after noon while fishing in tide pools.

They dispatched a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from the Sector Columbia River to hoist the men up and transport them to a waiting Cannon Beach Fire crew.

There were no reports of injuries in the rescue.
