North Bend's Summer Youth Program continues to roll out activities for local youth.

On Wednesday, August 24, children will head out on Tenmile Lake with the Tenmile Lake Watershed pros for their Fishing Excursion.

The city has arranged two four-hour sessions for ages 9 and up to learn to fish while on a pontoon boat courtesy of Ringo's Lakeside Marina.

City officials say all fishing gear will be provided, and a social security number is required to obtain a fishing license for those children.

On Thursday, August 25, children 9 to 18 will get a day long history course during the city's Museum Hop.

They'll visit Oregon Historical RR Museum, Sun Museum, Coos History Museum, and the Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum.

Transportation and lunch will be provided for both events.
