Tuesday morning, Talent Police Department received a call of a horse walking around Talent Avenue.

TPD was able to get the horse once it entered the construction site nearby. They eventually corralled the horse and put it in the dog park between the police station and construction site.

They used their own halter and ropes to corral the horse.

"This is not the first time having livestock that have had to be corralled by the police department," Chief Curtis Whipple said. "We actually have some of the stuff here in stock for us to use."

The horse was taken to R&R Pet Resort around 9:15 a.m. for safe keeping. The owner was located around 11:30 a.m. to pick up the horse.
