A startling helicopter rescue was caught on camera.

A group of skiers in the French Alps called for help after a member of their party got injured high in the mountains. Mountain police were dispatched to the Anterne Pass, which is roughly 6,5000 feet above Passy, France.

While the other skiers watched, a rescue crew flew in on a helicopter. With the skier lying injured on the steep slope, the helicopter pilot hovered mere inches from the ground while rescuers hoisted the injured skier inside. The pilot actually landed the right skid on the snow, letting three members of the rescue crew reach the man, according to CNN International.

Crews took the man to the hospital for treatment where he is reported to be okay.
