Seattle is America's worst city to find love, says national dating podcast
SEATTLE - Could it really be true that Seattle is the worst city in America to find true love?
That's the conclusion of a national touring series of live town hall-style shows hosted by the "The Great Love Debate" podcast, which seeks to answer the question: "Why is everyone still single?"
Brian Howie, the podcast's host, says The Great Love Debate considered the opinions and demographic data from more than 92,000 singles who have attended the tour's shows over the last five years, along with thousands more who listen to the podcast, in naming Seattle the absolute worst place to find love in America.
The show's creators say this has been a challenging year for the "dating dynamic" between men and women around the country, but Seattle stood out as being the worst of 10 cities where the challenge was greatest.
"Of all the places where the disconnect grew wider this year, Seattle's grew the widest; leaving a gloomy puddle of aggravated women, socially-awkward men, and rain water," Howie said.
The Great Love Debate visited Seattle in August during its tour of American cities. Since 2014, the show has made 347 stops in 87 different cities worldwide to host a forum on love, sex, dating and relationships.
Here are the other nine cities named by the podcast as the worst in the nation for finding love (note that Portland, Ore., came in fourth-worst):
SAN JOSE - "A sorry stalemate between women who think they're too good for him and men who think they're entitled to her."

PHILADELPHIA - "Hard to find love in a place where the women believe all the men are jerks, and the men all believe that's a compliment."
DALLAS - "The city with the best women in America - and a collection of men who hide from them, and a whole lot else, beneath those big hats."
LAS VEGAS - "People go to Vegas to have fun. Nobody goes to Vegas to be happy."
NEW YORK - "New York women watched Sex And The City for a decade hoping Carrie would end up with Mr. Big. Lots of NYC men noticed, and act like Big, but don't look anything like Chris Noth."
