Woman charged with Aggravated Murder in Oakridge double slaying

    OAKRIDGE, Ore. - Prosecutors have charged a woman with two counts of aggravated murder in the deaths of two people Friday afternoon in Oakridge.

    The district attorney's office charged Kelly Lynn Conrad, 39, with two counts of Aggravated Murder and one count of Attempted Aggravated murder.

    Conrad is accused of murder Milton Conrad, 71, and Karen Lynn Conrad, 64, on February 8 in Oakridge.

    Aggravated Murder carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years to life in Oregon.

    Conrad is also accused of attempting to kill a third person, according to charging documents.

    Just after 2:30 p.m. on Friday, the Oakridge Police were called to a suspicious incident on W 2nd Street near Portal. The officers located Conrad armed with a knife and took her into custody.

    In a subsequent search of the area, officers found the two dead subjects.
