EUGENE, Ore. - Police and local purveyors of newsprint are puzzled - and not just because of the Sudoku.

A reporter on her way home from our newsroom spotted newspapers scattered in the street at 13th Avenue and Chambers Street on Monday night.

The pile of newsprint had made it as far as the sidewalk by 6 a.m.

Eugene Police didn't have an answer Tuesday morning.

Neither did folks at the local daily newspaper.

What do you think?
