Vigil honors memory of 3 children killed in crosswalk one year ago

Tyler Hudson, 4; McKenzie Hudson, 5; and John Day, 8, died February 22, 2015.

"She was almost to the curb with her children with ice cream cones in their hands," attorney Mike Arnold said last May of the children's mother, Cortney Hudson-Crawford. "They were just going home, and just living their normal lives - and their lives will never be normal again."

The City of Springfield has considered establishing a permanent memorial to the children at the corner, Laudati said.
