Two state highways in Coos bay area affected by fallen trees

    UPDATE | Oregon 241 (Coos River Highway) is now open.

    The highway had been closed earlier at milepost 10 due to a fallen tree.

    Oregon 541 (Cape Arago Highway) remains closed northeast of Charleston at milepost 7.8.

    Traffic will detour along Libby Lane.

    COOS BAY, Ore. -- Two state highways in the Coos Bay area are closed due to fallen trees, Oregon Department of Transportation reports.

    Oregon 541 (Cape Arago Highway) is closed northeast of Charleston at milepost 7.8. Traffic will detour along Libby Lane.

    Oregon 241 (Coos River Highway) is closed at milepost 10, about four miles west of Allegany. No detour is available.

    The roads will remain closed until the trees can be removed, ODOT says, and no time estimates are available.
