The Beanery on 5th to close after 30 years in Eugene

A concerned customer brought this news to our attention via Chime In.

EUGENE, Ore. - The Beanery is closing after 30 years in Eugene.

"Sadly our landlords have decided to move in a different direction with the space that we have called home since 1988," operator Allan's Coffee said in a blog post November 2.

The Beanery will be brewing our last cups on 15 November 2018 and closing our doors. We love our customers and are passionate about serving and connecting with our communities. While we are disappointed to leave our current location, we graciously welcome all of our customers to our other Eugene location on Hilyard street.

Allan Stuart, the company's founder, got started in Ashland before moving to Corvallis in 1972.

Allann Bros Coffee opened a coffee shop on Hilyard Street in 1987 and added The Beanery the next year.

We’ve been committed to the community of Eugene for 30 years and intend to continue to do so. The Beanery was recently rebranded as Allan’s Coffee & Tea to pay tribute to our founder, Allan Stuart and 47 years of amazing coffee and tea. We are actively looking for a new location in the Eugene area and are open to feedback about where that might be.

The company asked anyone with suggestions for new locations to email opportunity@allanscoffee.com
