Sutherlin man accused of sexually abusing Washington County teens
HILLSBORO, Ore. - A Sutherlin man faces accusations he sexually abused a teen with development disabilities and another girl in Washington County, the sheriff there says.
Law enforcement arrested Rusty Hendrickson, 38, on three counts of sexual abuse in the second degree and three counts of sexual abuse in the third degree.
He was booked into the Douglas County Jail on December 9. He has since posted bail.
Hendrickson faces prosecution in Hillsboro, the county seat of Washington County.
The investigation started in June with a report to the sheriff that an adult man had sexual contact with a teenage girl with developmental disabilities, the sheriff said. The two met on social media, the sheriff said.
Detectives investigating the case found a second teen girl who had sexual contact with the same man.
The sheriff did not release the ages of the girls.
Detectives identified Hendrickson as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest, the sheriff's office said.
