The Eugene 4J School District has confirmed that the Eugene Police Department has completed their building sweep of South Eugene High School and have found that there is no ongoing threat to the school.

---
Eugene Police Department (EPD) notified Eugene School District 4J this afternoon that its dispatch center received an unverified bomb threat aimed at South Eugene High School (SEHS).
Out of an abundance of caution SEHS was evacuated while EPD responded to the scene. Given the length of time needed to thoroughly clear the building and ensure the safety of the school community, the district canceled classes for the rest of the day.
Students who cannot self-transport were taken to the Moshofosky Center, 2735 Leo Harris Parkway, and will be released from that location.
All after-school activities, including sports practices are canceled.
Once the building has been deemed safe, the school will share information with families on getting access to any personal items left in the building.
The district takes any potential threat to safety very seriously and works closely with law enforcement to respond. Police are investigating.
This is a developing story and KVAL News will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
