Sheriff: Oregon couple last seen October 6 has been found safe
UPDATE | Deputies have located Christopher Vestal and Katherine Rowden, authorities reported on Nov. 2, 2018.
"They’ve been living in an area without cell phone coverage and were not aware they had caused worry," Jackson County Sheriff's Office said. "A friend saw coverage of the search and helped them get in touch with deputies Thursday night. Detectives wish to thank everyone who called in with a tip."
CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Detectives made a public appeal for help locating a Central Point couple who have not been seen in nearly four weeks.
Family members reported Christopher Dean Vestal, 30, and Katherine Mary Lou Rowden (aka Mitchell), 29, of Central Point missing October 24, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
The two were last seen on October 6 in Medford.
"Family members believe the two were picked up by an unknown male with plans to buy a new vehicle and to go on a three-day camping trip," the sheriff's office said. "Family members have not been able to reach them and they have not updated their social media profiles. Rowden did not return to work after October 6. Family members reported the two are known to travel, but they are always good about staying in contact."
Vestal is a white male with blue eyes and blond hair, 5-foot-2 and 115 pounds.
Rowden is a white female with brown eyes and blond hair, 5-foot-5 and 160 pounds.
Both Vestal and Rowden have several tattoos.
