Sheriff: Avoid area as deputies work to contact potentially armed suspect

VENETA, Ore. - Deputies are working to make contact with a possible suspect in a criminal case, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office identified the wanted man as 29-year-old Sean Lovewell.

Lovewell may be armed, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office asked the public to avoid Erdman Way, south of Highway 126 in the Veneta area. The specific address is not yet known.

Authorities also asked residents to report any suspicious individuals seen in the area.

Deputies have been working since before 10 a.m. Thursday to make contact with the suspect, the sheriff's office said.
