ShelterCare to hold zombie-themed 5k fundraiser to help those experiencing homelessness

EUGENE, Ore. — ShelterCare is partnering with Thrill the World Eugene, to hold a 'spooky' 5k fundraiser, Run for Your Life! at Alton Baker Park, October 8, 2022.

ShelterCare helps provide housing and behavioral services to individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness, they also assist those who experience chronic homelessness. Some of their programs include:

• Housing Services for Families
• Short-Term Housing
• Permanent Supported Housing
• Behavioral Health Services
  

The zombie-themed 5k fundraiser will help support housing and mental health services for ShelterCare's program participants. Zombies will be hidden around the Alton Baker race course. The start and finish line will be located at the permanent shelters in Alton Baker Park,
