Traffic jam: Semi hauling fresh grapes crashes on I-5 in Oregon
ASHLAND, Ore. - Crews worked to recover fresh green and purple grapes from the wreckage of a semi truck that crashed Wednesday morning on northbound Interstate 5, just north of the California border.
The crash happened around 7 a.m., south of Ashland.
"A single lane of traffic is now open, but travelers should expect delays," Oregon DOT said at 10:41 a.m. | SISKIYOU SUMMIT CAMERAS
"Salvage crews continue to off-load cargo from the semi that rolled earlier this morning. Contrary to earlier reports, the cargo is fresh green and purple grapes on pallets," ODOT said in a statement. "Slow lane is open to traffic. Cargo recovery is occurring happening in the fast lane.
