Police say they’re looking for a man scheduled to go on trial for sex abuse crimes later this month.

Michael Tallman was supposed to wear a GPS ankle bracelet as condition of his freedom before trial, but police said they found the bracelet but not Tallman.

Police say they believe he plans to flee the state or plans to do so.

Tallman was formerly known as Michael Bremont. He has also gone by Jacob Straib.

Tallman was the former director of Redmond Proficiency Academy.

Police say he has already served prison time for several sex crimes against two underage students. He was arrested in 2011 for those crimes.

Police said a new victim came forward and Tallman was supposed to stand trial for 10 counts of second-degree sex abuse Oct. 23.

Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Deschutes County non-emergency line at 541-693-6911 or their local law enforcement agency.
