Police: Suspect robs Rivas Tacos Shop using pepper spray, possible a gun

EUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at Rivas Taco Shop on Saturday morning at approximately 9:56 a.m.

According to the police, a male suspect entered the taco shop and robbed the location of cash after pepper spraying an employee in the face. The suspect fled to the parking lot and got into a get-away vehicle that had been waiting.

A second employee ran out after the suspect, and claims that the suspect pointed what appeared to be a firearm at them as they were driving away.

The male suspect is described as a white male, 5'6" to 5'8" with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray full zip hoody with a Transformer logo on the front, a baseball hat, black sunglasses and gloves.

The getaway vehicle was described as a newer model VW Golf that was silver in color. The vehicle was being driven by a female who was also wearing sunglasses. The suspects fled in the vehicle northbound on Hwy 99 North.
