PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are investigating a report of a man who walked away from the Shilo Inn Rose Garden in Northeast Portland Tuesday morning.

Investigators say 20-year-old Kayleb Epperson was dressed in just a pair of shorts when he left at 3:16 a.m.

Epperson is a white man, 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue shorts.

He is not familiar with the Portland metropolitan area. His mother says they are visiting town to see his grandmother’s boyfriend who is in the hospital.

Epperson’s mother says he is on new medication and she’s worried he had a bad reaction to it or something bad happened to him after he walked out of the inn.

The Shilo Inn Rose Garden is located at 1506 NE 2nd Ave.
