EUGENE, Ore. – A woman crashed into the post office near W. 11th Avenue in Eugene, then crashed into another vehicle leaving the parking lot Tuesday afternoon, Eugene police said.

Police responded to a report of a crash at the post office at 950 Tyinn Street at 3 p.m.

Police say the woman driving the car meant to reverse out of her parking space, but accidentally accelerated forward and crashed into the front windows of the building.

They say she managed to get out of the building, but accidentally accelerated again, drove across the parking lot, through the bushes, and crashed into another vehicle leaving the parking lot.

Police say no one was hurt and no charges were filed.

Maintenance crews at the post office say they hope to re-open the post office Wednesday.
