Police: 2 stores on South Willamette Street robbed by man wielding 'bladed object'
EUGENE, Ore. - A man or men wielding a "bladed object" robbed a store on South Willamette Street Sunday afternoon and a sandwich shop just down the street Monday night.

The first robbery happened just before 4 p.m. Sunday at the GNC store at 2866 Willamette Street.
"A male subject displayed a bladed object to an employee and demanded money," police said in a report. "The suspect left the business with cash and was observed running northeast from the location."
The male suspect was about age 25 to 35, 6-foot-1 with a slender build and dark facial stubble.
He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt pulled tight around his face and black sweatpants.
On Monday, a man robbed the Jimmy John's store about a third of a mile to the north.
"An unknown male suspect pointed a bladed object at employees and stole cash from the location, before leaving westbound on foot," police said.
A Eugene Police K9 search the area, to no avail.
Police said the male suspect is about 6-foot-3 to 6-foot-5 with a slender build. He was wearing a red t-shirt under a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled around the face.
