Plywood incident in Jefferson County - Washington State Patrol image

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wash. – A driver escaped injury Wednesday when a piece of plywood flew off of a truck, smashing into the front of their car.

Washington State Patrol said the incident happened on Highway 101 in Jefferson County.

Thankfully no one was hurt in the crash.

WSP Trooper Chelsea Hodgson said this is a good reminder for people to “make sure to check and ensure your load is secure before driving.”

A similar plywood incident recently happened in Florida, with a sheet cutting through someone’s windshield. The driver in that incident was also unhurt.
