Plane crashes at Willamette Country Music Festival site

LINN COUNTY, Ore. - A small plane reportedly crashed where the Willamette Country Music Festival was held in Linn County on Monday.

The Linn County 911 Dispatch received calls at about 4:40 p.m. reporting that a plane had crashed in front of the stage at the festival site.

A single passenger experimental airplane had crashed into temporary fencing where the VIP Garden had been.

The plane was flown by 69-year-old John Loomis, who was transported to Riverbend Hospital with minor lacerations and a complaint of back pain. Upon crashing, the plane came to rest upright against the festival fencing.
