EUGENE, Ore – Mother's day started early at Alton Baker Bark Sunday morning.
Parenting Now, an organization which supports families with young children, held their first 5K on Sunday.
The run was a celebration of moms and they were treated with mimosas at the finish line.
About 50 runners showed up: moms, dads, and children.
One mother said she's fairly new to parenting, but couldn't think of a better way to spend her third Mother's Day.
"I’m new to Eugene and I was really happy to hear about this. I just wanted to do something more healthy on Mother’s Day,” said Carly Dorr, mother and 5k participant.
The event was also a fundraiser for all the services Parenting Now provides.
