KVAL is gearing up for another memorable South Willamette Valley Honor Flight, where Brandon Kamerman will join dozens of local military veterans getting a free trip to Washington, D.C. to honor them for their service.
Our station will be there again at the end of September, providing full coverage to our viewers only on KVAL.
On Wednesday, the South Willamette Valley Honor Flight was at Papa's Pizza on Coburg Road raising money to make this dream a reality.
Half of the money spent by people supporting the organization at Papa's Pizza was donated directly to the honor flight.
Past honor flight veterans along with volunteers, came together for lunch, company and raising money.
Dan Buckwald, Executive Director of the South Willamette Valley Honor Flight said, “This is an opportunity for us to come together, raise money as we send our veterans back to Washington, D.C. to see the monuments that are erected in their honor."
The veterans do not pay anything on the flight. It’s all paid for by the non-profit.

Make sure to stay tuned as we get closer to our departure date on September 28th for our emotional coverage of the trip.
