EUGENE, Ore. - Snow fell on February 6 and February 7, 2014, only to be coated with a fine layer of ice on February 8.
The ice storm snapped trees and power lines, leaving thousands of people into the dark.
It took the better part of a week to restore power to all customers inside the Eugene city limits.
The ice storm prompted the Eugene Water and Electric Board to upgrade some of its outage reporting systems.
And as the region turned the corner on the aftermath of the snow and ice, warm rain brought flooding to Western Oregon.
