Middle Fork Ranger District Road 21 delays due to road construction work

The Willamette National Forest is notifying the public to expect delays on Forest Service Road (FSR) 21 in two locations from now through the end of June due to road construction.

One near Bingham Bridge at milepost 10.55 is under way and will continue through June 20, 2023. It will be open to one-lane traffic through June 5, 2023. There will be aggregate surfacing at this location through June 20, 2023.

Additionally, there will be road reconstruction work at mile post 5.39 starting on June 5 through June 20, 2023. The road will be closed at mile post 5.39 with scheduled open periods at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 2:30 p.m. PDT, Monday through Friday, with open periods of no less than 30 minutes. The road will be open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night and the road will be open on Saturday and Sundays.

There will be no construction on Memorial Day weekend from Friday, May 26 through Monday, May 29, 2023. There will be no construction on Friday, June 23, 2023.

"Please slow down through the work zone and watch for road construction signs, equipment, and workers in the road," Forest officials said. "Visitors should anticipate delays and are advised to please drive slow as there may be loose gravel."
