EUGENE, Ore. — May The Fourth Be With You, that was the theme at River Road El Camino Del Rio Elementary School in Eugene.
Volunteers from University of Oregon's bio-engineering program visited the school to foster a love of science.
Karly Fear, a Graduate Student at the University of Oregon said, “We are coming in on May the 4th because Star Wars kind of makes us all think about what are the possibilities in the future, and so I think it's really exciting to start connecting the future to the science that's happening right now."
The event was funded by the National Science Foundation, kids learned about acoustics, biodegradability, 3-d printing, and more.
