Man accused of killing mother, bringing head to store will plead guilty but for insanity
ESTACADA, Ore. – The 37-year-old accused of beheading his mother and stabbing another man at an Estacada store last year is expected to plead guilty by reason of insanity. The Clackamas County District Attorney's office confirmed Monday that Joshua Webb will plead guilty, but it's not clear if he'll go to prison or a state hospital.
Webb killed his mother, 59-year-old Tina Marie Webb, and her dog inside her Colton home on Mother’s Day of 2017.
He then carried her head inside an Estacada grocery store, where he stabbed a worker before being subdued by customers.
The store employee - Michael Wagner - survived the stabbing, and recently shared the experience of his recovery with KATU News.
