Man arrested in Coos Bay for allegedly point gun at BLM protesters

COOS BAY, Ore. — A man was arrested in Coos Bay on Saturday after allegedly point a gun at and threatening several Black Lives Matter protesters.

According to the Coos Bay Police Department, at about 1:40 PM, Coos Bay Police received calls from several concerned citizens protesting on South Broadway Street near the intersection of Curtis Avenue. It was reported that a male in a black truck stopped at the location and allegedly pointed a handgun at several protestors at the intersection.

Police responded and spoke with several witnesses who obtained pictures of the male and his vehicle. With the help of several citizens, Coos Bay Police were able to identify the operator of the vehicle as 36-year-old Brandon Moore of Coos Bay.

Moore was arrested for menacing and disorderly conduct in the second degree. Moore was transported to the Coos County Jail.
