EUGENE, Ore. — EWEB is reporting a water outage in the Fox Hollow and Donald area after a broke water main occurred in the area.

In order to repair the main break, crews had to shut off water services in the immediate area, and went door to door in order to notify members of the community that would be affected.

Crews completed the repairs, and notified customers that they would have water use back available to them starting at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.

A "boil water" notice has been given to all customers in the immediate area. EWEB states that anytime there is a pressure loss in the water distribution system, as happened Saturday, there is the potential that contaminants can get into the system.

As an exercise of caution, EWEB is encouraging anyone in the effected area to boil their water before drinking it or using it for food preparations. The boil water notice will remain in effect until Monday morning.
