FYI: EPD and OSP on lookout for DUIs from KLCC brew fest

EUGENE, Ore. - State and local police pledge: If you drive drunk after the KLCC Microbrew Festival, you're in for more than a tote bag.

Officers and troopers will conduct saturation patrols near the Lane County Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday. The initiative is funded by state and federal traffic safety grants.

Police encouraged festival goers to designate a driver or use alternative transportation.

KLCC and the Lane Transit District are offering free bus passes for those attending the Microbrew Festival.
