FOSTER, Ore. - Firefighters kept a blaze in a barn from spreading to a nearby home Monday morning, the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District said.
Crews dispatched to the fire at 9:39 a.m. could see a large column of smoke as they approached the home in the Foster area.
That triggered a second alarm summong crews from Lebanon and Brownsville, the fire district said.
Firefighters found the fire burning out of control in a barn, threatening two nearby structures.
The firefighters brought the fire under control, limited the damage to the adjacent buildings. No one was injured.
The barn and its contents, including an RV and pickup, are a total loss, firefighters said.
Firefighters suspect the fire started in the kitchen area of the motor home, but the exact cause remains undetermined.
