Fire crews spend hours extinguishing barn fire

HALSEY, Ore. – Firefighters from Brownsville Rural Fire District and Halsey-Shedd Fire District spent hours extinguishing a barn fire early Friday morning.

The 2nd alarm fire was reported just after 1 a.m. on Highway 228 east of Brownsville.

Sweet Home Fire District, Lebanon Fire District and others provided mutual aid.

Halsey Shedd Fire units returned to Station 51 around 5 a.m., according to a Facebook post.
