Eugene Police take 2 into custody after string of convenience store robberies
UPDATE: Eugene Police say two suspects are now in custody in connection with a string of convenience store robberies on Monday.
The robberies hit stores at 7:48 a.m., 8:26 a.m. (see below) and 10:05 a.m.
In the third case, a woman made off with cash from the Stop N Shop Market at 2270 W. 18th Avenue.
Eugene Police located the suspects about 12 minutes later and took them into custody.
"We will have more information regarding suspects and charges after more investigation is completed," police said in a statement Monday afternoon.
EUGENE, Ore. -- Police are looking for two female suspects related to two robberies Monday morning that occurred at two Buy 2 stores in Eugene.
The first took place at the Buy 2 at 3890 W. 11th Avenue at 7:48 a.m.
A second robbery occurred a short time later--at 8:26 a.m.--at 1809 W. 6th Avenue.
In the earlier incident, the suspects threatened the cashier, took cash, and left eastbound on W. 11th in a green 1990s-era four-door Dodge Neon, police reported.
The first suspect is described as a white female in her early 20s, 5’2” with a thin build, short blonde or brown hair and wearing a black shirt and a beige soft-cast on her left arm with blood on it.
The driver of the get-away car was described as a white female in her early 20s and last seen wearing a grey beanie and green sweatshirt.
In the later incident, a woman matching the first suspect’s description is reported to have robbed Buy 2 of cash and left the area.
