EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene Police say trick-or-treaters have found two more razor blades in their candy bars making it a total of three.
Police say the razor blades resemble the blades found in pencil sharpeners.
"It's so unfortunate that a holiday that's meant for kids to go out and have fun and get some treats and spend time with their families and enjoy themselves-- that someone is taking advantage of that and potentially hurting kids," said Captain Chris Harrison.
The two fun-sized Kit-Kats and an Almond Joy bar were found with a small incision in the wrapper where the blade was inserted.
The candy bars were all found in a four-by-four block radius in the Friendly neighborhood.
Police suggest throwing away any candy collected in this area and that all parents recheck their children's Halloween candy under a bright light.
Police say there is no connection between the three people who reported the crime.
The case has since been assigned to a detective. Police say if caught, the perpetrator of these crimes may face a charge of reckless endangerment.
No injuries have been reported.
