Deputies investigating gunshot wound in Creswell; no known threat to public
CRESWELL, Ore. - Deputies investigating a report of a gunshot wound do not believe there is any threat to the public, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said.
The situation was reported to the sheriff's office just before 1 p.m. Friday, Sgt. Carrie Carver said.
Deputies responded to the 300 block of S. 2nd Street in Creswell to investigate.
A man was taken to the hospital for treatment. His identity and condition are not yet available.
"It is early in the investigation but there is no indication that there is a threat to the public in connection to this case," Carver said.
