UPDATE: Alperin was found in Gold Beach Friday morning.

Washington County sheriff’s deputies are asking the public’s help in finding a missing 76-year-old man from Raleigh Hills.

Ira “Bob” Alperin was last seen near the Lloyd Center shopping mall on Thursday night.

He had gone to the mall to meet with friends. He left them at 1 p.m.

Private security guards near the Lloyd Center found Alperin and helped him back to his car at 5 p.m. But he hasn’t been seen since.

According to the sheriff’s office, Alperin’s family says he has recently been experiencing mild cognitive impairment, which causes him to become disoriented and confused.

Alperin is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has blue eyes and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a dark green plaid winter jacket with a “newsboy” style wool hat.

He was last seen driving a light blue 2004 Acura TSX four-door sedan with the Oregon license plate 248 BEV.

Anyone who knows anything about his whereabouts is asked to call 503-629-0111.
