Demolition work removes buildings from Civic Stadium property

EUGENE, Ore. - Heavy equipment could be seen chewing through old buildings on the former site of Eugene Civic Stadium on Friday.

An arson fired destroyed the venerable wooden stadium in 2015.

The Eugene Civic Alliance, which owns the property, had sought to renovate the grandstands.
