LEBANON, Ore. - New information tonight on a double homicide in Lebanon.
Two people were found murdered Saturday morning in a Lebanon residence, and investigators say the suspect is the ex boyfriend of one of the victims.
According to Linn County Court documents, 42-year-old Tammy Lee Hopper and 48-year-old Erik Cody Jacobs were found dead at Hopper's home.
Both victims were shot multiple times.
According to the court documents, the suspect, Brenton Wade Richmond, is a former employee of the Lebanon Police Department, and dated Hopper for nine years.
After the two broke up, Hopper started dating Jacobs, the other murder victim.
Investigators say the suspect allegedly threatened violence against Hopper and any man she dated.
“It's unusual for us to have a homicide,” said Sheriff Jim Yon, with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. “I would walk any neighborhood in Linn County with my family and not have any worries of being assaulted or anything like that.”
According to court documents, Richmond's car was traced to the Eugene airport, where he took a flight to San Francisco.
He was later arrested at the California-Mexico border before being taken into custody in San Diego.
Richmond is currently being questioned. Detectives traveled to San Diego on Monday to help with the investigation.
