Car crashes and burns on Hwy 36 in Junction City; lone occupant dies
JUNCTION CITY, Ore. - A single car fatal accident occurred on Hwy 36 near Junction City on Saturday morning.
At approximately 9:52 a.m., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the crash, where a preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle slowly drifted off the road and crashed into a concrete bridge pillar.
After crashing into the pillar, the vehicle caught fire.
The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. There were reported to be no other occupants in the vehicle.
