COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. - It's a blast from the past this weekend in Cottage Grove.

The 59th annual Bohemia Mining Days celebrates Cottage Grove's history as a thriving mining town in the early 1900's. Hundreds of people from all over the state are enjoying the three-day event at Coiner Park.

It includes a parade throughout the town, live music and a carnival for the kids. Organizers say that Cottage Grove is a wonderful place to live.

"Beside being a close-knit community where everybody knows everybody and what your business is, whether you like it or not, it's just enjoyable because it is so family-friendly and there are so many things to do here," said Bob Ehler, who's on the Cottage Grove City Council.

Bohemia Mining Days is free of charge, and continues with a live concert until 10 p.m. on Saturday night.
